The Mater Education Centre (MEC) was established in February 1998 to provide and support the ongoing education, training and professional development needs of the Mater Health Services staff.

The Mater Education Centre aims to deliver expertise and leadership in education through the provision of exceptional education, training and learning services to Mater Health Services Staff.
Mission
The MEC supports the Mater Corporate Goals of Integrating Core Values, Enhancing Organisational Performance, and improving Clinical Care and Innovation through focusing on Education and Development. This will be achieved by:
