Enrolment
To enrol in a course, students must complete the course enrolment form and pay the relevant fees. Students are not considered enrolled in a course until such time as fees are paid. If a student is younger than 18 years and is in the care and control of a parent or guardian, the parent or guardian signature on the enrolment form is required.
It is expected that students (or their parent or guardian) will have read and clarified relevant course information and the Code of Practice before signing the enrolment form and paying course fees.
Prospective students may be asked to attend an interview and undergo a written test prior to being accepted into a course.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Students must read and understand the course cancellation and refund policy before signing the enrolment form and before making payment.
Re-Enrolment
If students do not achieve the required competency for the Program's units of study, they will be required to re-enrol, if a place is available, and pay the relevant fees. The MEL cannot guarantee places in the program for students who fail to make satisfactory progress. Re-enrolment will be at the discretion of the Course Coordinator.
Deferment
Students who are offered a place and cannot undertake their study are required to re-apply to gain an offer of place for the next intake of students. Only in special circumstances will a deferment be provided after the start of study. Deferment may be conditional and could depend on the continued availability of places in the program.
Application for deferment shall be in writing to the Course Coordinator and include a statement of the reasons for seeking deferment and supporting evidence should be provided such as a medical certificate if the application is on medical grounds.
