Registered Training Organisation

Mater Health Services is the only hospital based education facility of its kind in Queensland and has been a registered training organisation since 1999 (known as Mater Education Centre).

Mater Education Limited (MEL) was recently established as a wholly owned subsidiary of Mater Health Services to ensure strong and consistent governance and the continuing provision of quality education, training and learning services.

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), MEL functions within the Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF). This framework is a national set of standards that assure nationally consistent, high quality training, assessment and outcomes for the clients of Australia's vocational education and training system.
