Allocation of placement may vary according to the acuity of the hospital.
Please note: clinical placement may include evening and weekend shifts.
When you Graduate
On successful completion of the program, you can apply to AHPRA for National Registration as an Enrolled Nurse for a license to practice.
Students who plan to start working as a health practitioner in Australia upon graduation are encouraged to apply for registration early, four to six weeks before completing their course.
To be able to practice as an Enrolled Nurse you must register with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
There are a number of things that you must do to register with NMBA so you should ensure that you will be able to meet these requirements when you enrol in Mater's Diploma of Nursing program.
